About WattNerds

WattNerds is a small, independent site that helps people pick a portable power station by the numbers. Shopping for one usually means juggling a dozen browser tabs with specs written in slightly different ways. We put them in one table, work out the figures that actually matter, and let you filter down to the handful that fit your needs.

What we do

• Track 40 power stations from Anker SOLIX, BLUETTI, EcoFlow, Goal Zero, Jackery, PECRON, with specs taken from each manufacturer's own product pages.
• Calculate comparable figures such as price per Wh and lifetime cost per kWh, so a cheaper unit with a shorter battery life doesn't look better than it is.
• Run a size calculator that checks capacity, output and startup surge against the devices you actually plan to run.
• Refresh official-store prices every day.

What we don't do

We don't run hands-on lab tests. Our numbers are the manufacturers' published specs, which can differ from real-world results, and we say so wherever it matters. When a manufacturer doesn't publish a spec, we leave it blank instead of guessing. See how we rank for details.
